Howdy!
If you are looking for as many ways as possible to play tennis, the BVTA (Brazos Valley Tennis Association) is a great outlet. There are team tennis matches, tournaments, opportunities to teach tennis, and a good way to meet other players in the community. If you are not happy with the team you are on, use our challenge system. The link to the rules can be found on this email, and please read them carefully. If you are not on the team you thought you would be on, please realize that it is IMPOSSIBLE to assign everyone to the team they are supposed to be on with the limited time that we have seen everyone play. Also, realize that we have ALOT of very good players. There is a reason our club has won five national championships. Keep challenging!!! If you are on the wrong team, you will eventually find your way to the right team if you keep coming to practices and tournaments!!
Also, if you are not listed in teams 1-13, you are a part of the pool available to challenge into team 13. Please take advantage of the challenge system. If you keep challenging, coming to practice, and playing in tournaments, you will find your way onto the right team!!
PLEASE READ THE CHALLENGE LADDER RULES IN FULL, but here are some of the basics:
1. You can only challenge up 1 team above you
2. The challengee must accept the challenge
3. To officially contact someone for a challenge, you must complete 2 out of 3 of the following: Facebook message, phone call, email
AFTER 2 of 3 contact methods have been completed: email the club challenge email stating who you are and who you are challenging: tamu10schallenge@gmail.com. The club challenge email will then email the challengee letting them know about the challenge. We will be emailing based on the emails submitted when you signed up for membership, so let us know what email to change it to if you know the one you signed up for will not be checked.
4. The challenger and challengee will then have 3 days after 2 of 3 contact methods have been completed to schedule a match, then 4 days from when the match is scheduled to complete the match.
5. Email the club email with the completed match scores: tamu10s@gmail.com
That's all for now. Remember practice tomorrow is from 4-5!
And remember...always hit the tweener.
