Howdy-
So the athletic department is putting on a mini-camp before the TAMU v tu basketball game on SAT, FEB 9, from 8:30 - 10:30 am. They have asked most all the varsity teams to set up a "booth" in the "concourse" of Reed Arena for elementary-age community kids. The varsity tennis team will be out of town, so they have asked us to step up.
Here's the catch... we have a tournament on that Saturday in San Antonio.... if you know that you can't or don't want to travel with us to the tournament, but will be around on sat morning in cs and would like to help out, let me know- asap. If playing little kids doesn't excite you... it could be a great line-item in your leadership or volunteer parts of your resume.
See ya'll tonight-
David

On Saturday February 9th, prior to the Women's Basketball game at Reed Arena, we will be hosting the "Ultimate Aggie Sport Camp" to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day. This event will be open to both girls and boys in our community and will give them exposure to sports that they normally would not have a chance to experience.
We ask that your team have a coach and athletes present for this event. Each team will be asked to set up a station in the concourse of Reed Arena that can be used for talks or drills with the youth in attendance. Please be ready by 8:15AM as the doors will open at 8:30AM for the event and will last till 10:00AM. Please plan on bringing all appropriate equipment needed for your station. You are encouraged to stay for the Women's Basketball game against Texas that will follow at 11:00AM.
We would love to have all the athletic teams involved! Please contact Josh Craggs with any questions and/or concerns at jcraggs@athletics.tamu.edu. Please email and sign-up ASAP to let us know which of your coaches and athletes will be participating. We are expecting a large number of children from the Bryan/College Station community for this event, and it is a great opportunity to make lifelong fans and make a difference in children's lives.
Thanks!
