Howdy!
Practice will be tomorrow at the same time and same place, and remember Reed Clean up will be at 10:00pm.
There are two volunteer opportunities available. Here is some information:
First Opportunity
Johnson Elementary (and possibly Sul Ross Elementary) is going to do the Kids'Club after school program. All the Kids' Club program amounts to is setting out rackets, balls, and nets and letting the kids do whatever they want. It is minimal to no instruction, supervision only to insure safety, and it would only last an hour or so after school. Johnson Elementary will need help Thursdays from 3:25-4:15pm starting next Thursday.
Second Opportunity
Junior Team Tennis (JTT) for 10 & Under and 12 & Under Beginners starts March 4 at Aerofit. They will be playing every Sunday afternoon from 2:00-3:30 beginning March 4 and running through April 8 (skipping March 11 for Spring Break). This format does require a little more instruction and attention,but is still geared toward having fun!
Please send an email to the club email if you are interested in either one of these volunteer opportunities.
The deadline to report challenges for the Waco Tournament will be February 11 at 7:00pm.
The deadline will be February 19 at 7:00pm for sectionals because we need to sign up for the tournament by the 20th.
Here are some reminders for challenging:
- You must send an email to tamu10s@gmail.com claiming who you have challenged for the challenge to be official
- When you notify who you want to challenge you must use 2 of the 3 contact measures. Contact measures: phone call (not text), email, facebook message
Team captains should be contacting you soon if they have not done so already. If they do contact you please make sure to respond, so we can figure out the teams for the tournaments.
Also, we have lots of spots available for girls, so if you know any girls that would be interested in playing in either of the tournaments, please let us know.
