Howdy y'all!
Now that the semester is over, I would like to inform you that I will be graduating and moving on into the 'real' world. My time spent with Tennis Club will never be forgotten. From my first Wednesday night practice I remember walking on to the courts and seeing the mass of people crushing tennis balls. At that moment I was quite overwhelmed with the number of people that were there. I decided to stick with it and slowly began to meet people. This was the best decision I made here at A&M. The people in A&M Tennis Club made my experience great, and so 3 years later I decided to run for president so that I could serve a wonderful organization that provided me with entertainment, clean winner, lasting friendships, sectionals memories, and witnessing many many pegs and tweeners.
Moving forward, Matt Hillestad will be your president for the upcoming semester, and I have no doubt he will continue to help tennis club grow while maintaining its status as the best club on campus. I have known Matt for a couple years, a friendship that began at sectionals when we were on the same team and I first noticed incredible forehand crosscourt slapshot winners coming off his racket.
I would like to thank everyone that has made my tennis club experience incredible, from all the clean winner feeders, to past and current members and officers, to the USTA TOC program and our advisor Vicki. Y'all have made this an amazing 3 1/2 years. Thank you!
And remember always hit the tweener.
