Hey y'all, here is the info one more time regarding putting your name in for officer elections.  Also, thanks to everyone who was able to participate in Big Event yesterday!  We did it BIG and I think we were actually able to help someone who needed it.  Anywho, here is the info one more time:

It's that time again to elect the officers that will be leading club for next year!! Here's how it breaks down:

There are 4 executive officers elected by club members via email: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary
There are 5 non executive officers appointed by the executive officers: Competition, Fundraising, Social, Historian, Recruitment

Officer duties can be seen here:
https://docs.google.com/View?id=d33jckr_29dx62hxdb&pli=1

Being an officer is a rewarding experience that will further yourself and the club that you love so much. It is a lot of fun, but please be prepared to follow through with the duties that you are assigned in the officer duties link above. If y'all have any additional questions about the officer positions and what they do, please contact a current officer and ask.

To include your name on the ballot for the executive officer elections or include your name on the list of potential non exec officer appointees, reply to TAMU10SELECTION@GMAIL.COM by MONDAY, MARCH 26th at 7 PM with the following information:

NAME:
EXECUTIVE OFFICER POSITION:
NONEXECUTIVE OFFICER POSITION:
PHONE NUMBER:
EMAIL:
PARAGRAPH PERSUADING MEMBERS WHY THEY SHOULD ELECT YOU AS AN EXECUTIVE OFFICER: (Only if you are running for an executive officer position)

If you are running for an executive officer position, include a non executive officer position as well so that if you are not elected, you can still be appointed. If you only wish to run for a non executive officer position, just don't put anything down for executive officer position.

Please remember to reply to TAMU10SELECTION@GMAIL.COM by MONDAY, MARCH 26th at 7 PM. That's a little under a week from now!!! After that, the actual elections will begin.

I hope a lot of y'all are excited to be officers in the upcoming elections, and good luck to all of you who run.
On a side note, those of you that signed up for Big Event will be getting an email regarding where to be and when within the next couple of days.

Post-Sectionals / No Practice Wednesday

Howdy y'all!

I want to thank everyone who came out to sectionals; everyone played great, and it was a lot of fun. Here is a recap:

  • Congratulations to Team Do It Big for beating Texas Tech in the finals and winning the entire tournament for the 2nd straight year and the 4th time in the last 5 years to continue Texas A&M's tennis club dominance. They will now be playing in North Carolina next month for the national championship.
  • Congratulations to Team AggSwagg for winning the silver bracket
  • Congratulations to Team Never Say Never for winning the copper bracket
I would also like to give a shout out to Team Frickin' David for making this a memorable sectionals I will never forget. We definitely BTHO a colossal sundae, car navigation, and red lights. We were also fortunate enough to have the person whom our team is named after make an appearance for the weekend.

In order to allow us to rest from sectionals, we will NOT be having practice this Wednesday nor both the Sundays of spring break. Practices will resume at their normally scheduled times on March 21.

Don't forget that for the remainder of the semester tennis club will be participating in Big Event as well as having some socials.

That's all for now! Thank you once again to everyone for making this the best sectionals yet!

And remember...always hit the tweener.

-Brent Hametner
